The pressure switch is an electrical or mechanical device that makes an electrical contact when the pressure of a liquid or gas hits a certain level.
This switch can kick in when pressure goes up or down. Industries use pressure switches to automatically oversee and manage systems using pressurized fluids.
PARTS OF A PRESSURE SWITCH
Pressure sensor: The main part of the switch that mechanically actuates the switch from the pressure of the fluid.
Adjustment screw: It is connected to a spring that opposes the force of the fluid. This means that the switch only turns on when the fluid pressure force is greater than the spring pressure force. By turning the adjustment screw, you can raise or lower the triggering pressure.
Diaphragm: It protects the internals of the switch from external threats. It is usually made of flexible materials such as polymers or metal alloys.
Lever: Useful in activating or deactivating the switch during installation maintenance.
Contacts: One of the conductive parts of the switch. It permits current to pass through from an external power source.
Terminals: Connect the external power source to the contacts.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
The idea behind how it works is this: Water pressure is what makes the switches work. Changes in pressure set it off. The pressure then moves up through the diaphragm and presses against the piston and spring, which opens or closes the contacts.
When there is a pressure drop, the open contacts close, and an electrical circuit is complete. The pump is now running.
Some of the wires in a pressure switch connect to different terminals inside the switch, and some connect to other terminals that are linked to a power source.
KNOW ABOUT AIR PRESSURE SWITCH
This device relies on air pressure to control the working of an electric air compressor. The air pressure switch for air compressor has a circuit that sends power to the motor to function along with possessing a pressure switch relief valve.
When you turn on the air compressor, it starts the motor and builds up pressure in the compressor until the safety level is met. The air pressure switch is usually put in the compressor system to let you know when the air pressure gets too high. When the pressure exceeds or falls below the set limit, the air cutoff triggers actions such as starting or stopping the compressor motor.
SS HUSSAIN HIGH-QUALITY PRESSURE SWITCHES IN PAKISTAN
Our differential switch is specifically for monitoring firing, ventilation, and air conditioning. It detects pressure differences between two points in a system and activates if a pre-defined difference is met.
If you’re on the lookout for adjustable compact pressure switches, you’re in luck since we have the DUNGS PRESSURE SWITCH MODEL: GW A6. It is found to be suitable for switching a circuit on, off, or over the actual pressure value.
Our electronic pressure switch is one to recommend that gives higher reliability considering its digital display of accurate output. It’s also a popular choice over mechanical pressure switches because it keeps the switch point more reliably and doesn’t get worn down over time.
